Bindweed records

The Natural History Museum want records of the Hedge Bindweed Calystegia sepium and the Hairy Bindweed Calystegia pulcra. These are two introduced Pink-flowered bindweeds with large flowers - not the common small-flowered one. Please let us (e.g. Eva Penn-Smith, Peter Gamble, Helen Ikin, or Monica Gillham) have your records immediately you find them so someone can take samples (if necessary).

Subscriptions become due on January 1st.

Loughborough Naturalists' Club

Registered Charity No. 501799

The Loughborough Naturalists' Club was formed in 1960 by a small group of people interested in wildlife who wished to exchange information and ideas. We now have 150 members whose individual interests range from Fungi, Spiders, Dragonflies, lichens and Mosses to Flowering plants, Mammals and Birds.
The main aims of the Club are:-
  • To record the Natural History of Charnwood Forest and surrounding areas (our records are put onto a database and support conservation projects in the area)
  • To exchange information between members and other groups through the quarterly Bulletin 'Heritage'.
